Road Race
28th Annual Race:
The 28th Annual Oyster Festival Road Race will be held Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. The race will feature a 1 mile fun run, 5K and 10K run on flat asphalt with some areas of hard sand.
Entry Fee:
$20 until October 6, 2008 and $25 after October 6, 2008. All entries include a short sleeve official North Carolina Oyster Festival t-shirt. A long sleeve t-shirt may be purchased instead for an additional $5. Participants may also register on Active.com.
Times:
Fun Run – 7:30 a.m.
5K and 10K – 8:00 a.m.
Late registration and packet pick-up begins at 6:30 a.m.
Refreshments and awards following the race.
Awards:
Top three finishers (male and female) in each age category for 5K and 10K
Top three male and female overall in 5K and 10K
Top male and female finishers in the Fun Run.
Free Entry For Runners:
All race participants will be able to use their race number for free entry into the festival on Saturday.
